The acting Chairman of Shira Local Government Area, Wali Adamu, has passed away.
The Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Bauchi State governor, Mukhtar Gidado, made the announcement on Sunday in a press release.
Adamu passed away on Sunday following a brief illness at the Federal Medical Centre, Azare.
Gidado said, “Governor Bala Mohammed, on behalf of the government and the entire people of Bauchi State, extends his deepest condolences to the immediate family of late Wali Adamu, Katagum Emirate Council, and the people of Bauchi State over this great loss.
“His Excellency described the late Acting Chairman as a committed public servant whose contributions to the development of Shira Local Government and the state at large will be fondly remembered.”
He urged all well-wishers and sympathisers to keep the family in their prayers during this difficult period.
He stated that the funeral prayer for late Wali Adamu will be conducted on Monday, 12th May, 2025, at the late Alkali Musa’s residence, Azare, by 10:30 am.
